For detailed instructions, please watch the attached short demonstration on how to enter petitions.

Petitions should be used when there needs to be an adjustment made to the degree audit.

Make sure you include as much information as possible so the adjustment can be made in a timely manner.

Petitions can be submitted for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, substitutions, course waivers and transfer credits. Please check with the Office of the Registrar if you have any questions about what can be submitted through a petition.

The petition function can be found in the additional features menu located at the top of the audit. Click on the three dots and select petitions.

Once you have opened the petitions menu, click on the “ADD A NEW PETITION” button. You will then add the request, in this example, to have a 4xxx level course count in the “Theory Section” for the major. Once you have entered all of the appropriate information, click on the “Save Petition” button. You will see a message at the top of the screen that shows that the petition has been submitted successfully. From this menu, you can see any and all petitions that have been submitted for the student.
